Jimmy is a music therapist and percussionist based in North London. She completed her undergraduate degree in music at Newcastle University, majoring in performance. After graduating, Jimmy worked as a teaching assistant supporting young people with SEND and as a musical director for a youth theatre company.
In 2025, Jimmy completed her Masters in Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. During her training, she gained experience as a trainee music therapist across three diverse settings: a children’s hospice, a mainstream secondary school supporting adolescents with SEMH, and a forensic inpatient service. She also has extensive experience as a music practitioner working with children and adults with SEND in schools and in the community.
Psychodynamically trained, Jimmy is passionate about the capacity of music therapy to support self-expression and facilitate a client’s exploration of their inner world. Alongside percussion, Jimmy enjoys integrating piano, guitar, and voice into her clinical practice.
