Laura Broughton

Laura obtained a Music degree at the the University of Surrey and continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2016 with an MA in Music Therapy. Since working for the Richmond Music Trust Laura has worked as part of the outreach team, delivering music therapy to groups and individuals. Laura also works for a number of organisations, such as Chiltern Music Therapy and the Red Ballon Learner Centre in Reading.

Having the opportunity to work in multiple organisations has enabled Laura to work with a range of clients in a variety of settings, ranging from adults with learning disabilities to adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties. In September 2019 Laura completed her Chroma Neurologic Music Therapy training and more recently has been working with clients with brain injuries or neuro-disability.  Alongside music therapy, Laura also provides instrumental tuition and enjoys the variety that both teaching and music therapy can bring.
