Since its introduction in 2000, the Primary Singing Festival has grown substantially and is now the musical highlight of the year for many schools. The festival involves well over a thousand children. Its aims are to bring children, teachers and parents together to celebrate singing and to inspire and support schools in their development of vocal work.

The festival takes place in the spring term when a series of school-based workshops culminates in a number of colourful and exciting gala concerts. The current venue for these is the impressive Rose Theatre in Kingston.

ORDERING TICKETS

Schools let parents know that tickets are available.

Tickets for parents cost £9 and are limited to one adult per child in the first instance. Schools cannot order more audience tickets than the number of children in their choir. Extra tickets cannot be booked in advance.

Schools collect ticket payment and record the names of ticket holders.

Schools submit ticket order and payment to RMT by Friday 10th February.

Any school that fails to submit its ticket order to RMT by the deadline date of Friday 10th February will need to request tickets from general sale on Monday 5th March.

RMT sends tickets to schools in w/c Monday 27th February.

Any unsold tickets will be available for parents to purchase direct from the RMT office from Monday 5th March on a first-come-first-served basis.
