"Fairytales and Fantasies" Recorder Day 13.11.11
We are delighted to be able to hold this special event for recorder players at the newly restored Strawberry Hill House. We chose our theme to reflect the magical nature of the building. The players will not only perform pieces inspired by the theme but will also learn about the history of the house, and get the chance to become tour guides for the day.
This project, involving RMT recorder teachers and pupils, is a pilot. We hope to hold more recorder events in the future which will be opened up to players across the borough. Please contact Jane McKechnie for further information on our recorder programme.

Richmond Songbook

27 original songs for primary schools
CD backing tracks included
This exciting collection of previously unpublished songs has been written by composers who work in or are connected with Richmond schools. They include teachers, head teachers, advisory staff and children. Many of these songwriters came to light through Richmond Music Trust’s annual Singing Festival and most of them are prolific composers, whose songs are inspired by and written especially for the children in their schools. The songs cover a range of different styles and are suitable for KS1 & KS2. All have been tried and tested in schools and we hope they will be become an important part of your school singing programme.
