Available to trombone and tuba students grade 5 and above (or approved by teacher), this ensemble is geared towards pushing students to the next level in both individual and section playing. Music for the group offers fun and interesting melodies as well as challenges in technique and endurance, all of which will help students to grow in ability and confidence.

GUITAR IMPROVISATION COURSE
Run by a professional guitarist who teaches for Richmond Music Trust, the Guitar Improvisation Course is open to players of electric guitar and steel strung acoustic guitar and aims to develop performance skills whilst enhancing the musician’s ability to play in a band. Suitable for secondary school pupils of grade 1 standard and above who are eager to develop their skills in improvisation, the sessions will focus on a different style of music each week (eg soft rock) and will also cover appropriate building blocks such as major, minor, natural, blues and pentatonic scales. It is not necessary to have had any band experience before joining the course.
Cost/Availability
The course costs £78 per participant, and can accommodate 12 players. The course will be filled up on a first come first served basis.

The course will be held at 7 Briar Road, Twickenham, TW2 6RB.

Monday Group A 4.30-5.30pm
Monday Group B 5.30-6.30pm
Dates
The course runs for 10 weeks in the Autumn term starting on Monday 15.09.08
