We offer both individual and group music therapy sessions at our therapy room in Twickenham, Greater London. Sessions are offered throughout the day, (9.30-6.30pm) for 40-50 minutes at a time, Mondays-Saturdays. We have a great variety of equipment available, catering for clients with a wide range of needs, abilities and musical interests. A waiting area for parents, carers and supporting staff is available as well as full access for wheelchair users. Our premises are easily reached by public transport or by car from Richmond, Hampton, Hounslow, West London, Ealing and Surrey. Parking facilities available. Music Therapy Sessions @ Hook Centre, Kingston upon Thames, KT9 1EJ
In partnership with Kingston Music Service we are also offering music therapy sessions at the Hook Centre in Kingston, Surrey. Sessions are offered from the well-equipped music studio on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (10.30 – 6.30pm). The Hook Centre is a vibrant and welcoming community centre, housing a library, café and meeting rooms for a range of community activities. It is located at the Hook roundabout in Chessington and can easily be reached by car from Kingston and also from the adjoining areas in Surrey, e.g. Sutton, Claygate, Esher, Epsom, Leatherhead, Thames Ditton. Music Therapy Sessions @ HUB, Beavers Children’s Centre, Hounslow, TW4 7NW
In partnership with Hounslow Short Breaks we are offering a music therapy service to children with special educational needs on Saturdays at the HUB, also known as Beavers Children’s Centre in Hounslow. The Hub is located in Hounslow and can easily be reached by car or public transport. Full access for wheelchair users as well as parking facilities are available. Children registered with Short Breaks (Pathway 2 &3) are eligible for a series of music therapy sessions offered at no cost to families, fully funded by Hounslow Short Breaks. Children from Pathway 1 are able to access this service as well but are required to arrange funding independently. OUTREACH
RMT employs a team of community based music therapists carrying out outreach work in family homes, residential care homes, day centres and schools. We work in partnership with a wide range of referring agencies, services and charities offering a bespoke service tailor-made to your specific needs. Our comprehensive outreach package includes:
- Delivery of weekly individual and/or group sessions at the outreach location
- Regular verbal and written feedback to staff and parents as appropriate
- Weekly documentation of client progress in clinical notes
- Intermittent reports summarising engagement, aims and objectives
- Intermittent audio visual progress presentation to staff and family (if appropriate)
- Supply (where necessary) of additional equipment
- Travel costs
This service is designed to offer access to music therapy to those who are unable to travel to our therapy rooms and benefit from a bespoke service in their home environment. We cover most areas in the West London and Surrey area, including Richmond, Kingston, Hounslow, Weybridge, Esher, Epsom, Leatherhead, Croydon. SCHOOLS
We offer music therapy outreach services to mainstream and special schools in above areas. Services can be set up on a ‘pay as you go’ basis with as little as one session per week or on an ongoing basis ranging from ½ day – several days per week and are usually renewed annually. PRESENTATIONS and WORKSHOPS
We provide information and advice to organisations keen to include music therapy as part of their provision. Focussed within the field of Education, Health and Social Care, our sessions are tailor-made to meet the specific needs of parents, carers, students or staff and usually involve a mixture of experiential work, music therapy theory / research and case studies.
