What to bring to your exam
- Your instrument (this obviously excludes those taking piano exams BUT electric keyboard players should bring their own instrument)
- Your music
- Your piano accompaniment, where applicable. Please check this with your teacher well in advance of your exam date.
Where to come
Exams are held at the following address:
Richmond Music Trust
7 Briar Road
Twickenham
Middlesex
TW2 6RB
Where to park
During exam periods there is no parking available on site. Please park in the surrounding roads, many of which are not subject to permit parking or offer pay and display bays.
When to arrive
Please arrive 20 minutes before your exam time and come up to the first floor. The invigilator will mark you in and show you to a seat.
Trinity Guildhall exam pupils will be given a form to fill in with details of the three pieces they are playing and the supporting tests they have chosen to do.
What happens next?
As soon as the warm up room is free you will be shown in. There will be time to tune up, play a few scales and have a quick run through with the accompanist before your exam.
You will be taken to the exam room. The accompanist comes in with you and you play your pieces first. The accompanist then leaves and the examiner will go through the supporting tests (scales, sightreading, aural etc).

Exam results are sent to the Music Trust and are then sent directly to candidates. See ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall pages for further details. If you are at all worried about any aspect of your exam please contact us in good time so we can help you well in advance of your exam day
